Elba Island: the most beautiful beaches
The Island of Elba is certainly one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tuscany and the Mediterranean.
Thanks to its rich landscapes, its historic villages and its historical testimonies attracts every year many tourists with various interests.
For trekking enthusiasts, the island offers different nature trails such as those leading to the summit of Mount Capanne, the highest on the island. History enthusiasts can visit the fortresses built in various historical periods and the Napoleonic museums.
But the Island of Elba is famous especially for its crystal clear waters and its beaches, all different, on which to enjoy the sun and relax.
On the island you can find golden sandy beaches or pebbles coves surrounded by promontories, beaches of black sand, pebbles and cliffs. Here are the most famous:
The Padulella beach is located on the north coast of Portoferraio; formed by white pebbles is part of a protected area that makes the sea suitable for snorkeling seen the richness of the fauna present. Thanks to the white sea bottom, the water takes on the shades of turquoise and blue, making the landscape very beautiful.
